The 2nd Annual West Michigan Pet Expo features
pet related businesses and products, pet training classes and exciting
demonstrations by incredibly talented animals and their trainers. The GLFRA attended this event for the 2nd year in a row and had plenty of educational material and of course rats on display.
GLFRA board members Robin MacDonald and Dayna Delnay along with member, Mellissa Manzagol, attended the 2007 West Michigan Pet Expo in Grand Rapids, Michigan at the Delta Plex. The club held a booth on Saturday March 24th and Sunday March 25th for two days of good rattie PR. Dayna brought some of her incredible rats to show the public while Robin brought several of her mice to show the difference between rats and mice. Lots of valuable information was passed out and many people were more than willing to 'talk rats' with club members and snuggle some ratties.
All rats and mice involved in the Expo event have been quarantined, as is required, to prevent any of the residents of their individual ratteries from having brought something home from the event. We strongly recommend that whenever attending a rat inclusive event like this that proper quarantine procedures be followed before and after these types of events.
